Margeson Sweeps
Washington Midget Racing Ass'n (WMRA)
EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. — Evan Margeson’s run toward his first Washington Midget Racing Ass’n championship continued Saturday when he completed a three-race season sweep of events at the Wenatchee Valley Super Oval.
Carrying a strong 162-point lead over Brea Lopez going into the event, Margeson solidified it further with his seventh win in nine races this year.
Margeson started the 35-lap event inside the fifth row and took the lead from Ken Ferris on lap 16 and romped through lapped traffic to claim the victory.
“The car was hooked up. Everyone was hugging the inside so I tried the outside and it worked,” Margeson said.
Ken Ferris was second, with Snake Livernash, Brea Lopez and Brad Curtis rounding out the top five.
The finish:
Evan Margeson, Ken Ferris, Snake Livernash, Brea Lopez, Brad Curtis, Tony Seidelman, Eric Hector, Dallas Melby, Chris Petersen, Skeeter Flake, Kenny Burns.
