Winning In The Rain: DeCaire Gets Point Just In Time

TBARA Dick Frieley 50, Desoto Super Speedway, Bradenton, Fla.

BRADENTON, Fla. — Troy DeCaire worked his way from the 10th-starting position to the lead just before the rain began to fall bringing an early end to the TBARA Dick Friedley 50 Memorial Race Saturday at Desoto Super Speedway.
The scheduled 50-lap event was shortened to 26 laps due to the rain. DeCaire took the lead just before Sonny Hartley and Shane Butler tangled in turn four to bring out a yellow flag. As those cars were being sorted, the rains came and a red flag followed with DeCaire declared the winner.
Larry Brazil, Jr. finished second followed by Dave Steel in third, Gary Gimmler in fourth and Dude Teate in fifth.
