Stewart Penalized For Cursing

NASCAR has fined Tony Stewart $25,000 and penalized him 25 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver championship points for "using inappropriate language" during a post-race televised interview following his victory Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Stewart, driver of the No. 20 Chevrolet, retains his fifth-place standing in the series points, with his total points reduced to 2,599.
Stewart violated Section 12-4-A of the series rule book (actions detrimental to stock car racing) by using the inappropriate language.
In addition, Stewart’s car owner, Joe Gibbs, has been penalized 25 car owner championship points because of the infraction.

Pretty soon, all the NASCAR drivers will be required to go to their haulers before interviews, and return for press interviews in pink dresses and long white gloves, just like the morons who impose this BS. As NASCAR becomes more politically correct by overreacting, it will lose more and more fans. Again, the race doesn't matter because NASCAR will decide who gets points and who doesn't. Nobody knows the race results until the penalties are issued after the fact. Is that racing or is it daytime TV for the soap opera crowd? I have been to NASCAR races since the early 70's, but who would I ever go to another and spend that kind of money when I wouldn't know who won until days later?
