Santerre Motorsports Signs Sellers To Drive
NASCAR East
HARRISBURG, N.C. — Andy Santerre Motorsports has hired former NASCAR Weekly Racing Series champion Peyton Sellers to drive its No. 44 Casella Waste Systems Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World East Series.
Sellers finished third in the series last year, driving for his family owned team which utilized just one car the entire season.
“We’re excited to sign Peyton,” said Santerre. “With him aboard we’ll continue ASM’s tradition of being a front-running Championship contender. Peyton brings driving talent and a real knowledge of the racecar as well as an integrity and maturity not seen in someone his age at this level of competition.”
“We’re thrilled”, said Sellers, the 2005 NASCAR Weekly Racing titlist. “ASM is a great fit for us. Andy has a ton of experience and runs a first-class operation. The chemistry is already there and we have a mutual respect for one another.”
Sellers teams with Austin Dillon, who will drive the other ASM entry in the Camping World East Series.
