Mustang Challenge Unveils Tentative Slate

Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for The Miller Cup

ORLANDO, FLA. — The Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup officials announced this past week a provisional schedule for the series’s inaugural season in 2008.
The eight-event schedule will open at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga., May 2-4. Other venues include Mosport Int’l Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J. and a season-ending doubleheader at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.
“Although we are still in negotiations with some circuits to complete our schedule from the middle of July through the end of August,” said Series Director Lynda Randall.
“We wanted to take this opportunity to release as much information as possible to our competitors and fans. We’re very excited about these events and the quality and variety of circuits that we will visit in our inaugural season should provide some great battles for our race teams and Mustang enthusiasts throughout North America.
Here is the provisional schedule for 2008, as it currently stands:
May 2-4, Road Atlanta, Braselton, Ga.; June 13-15, Mosport Int’l Raceway, Bowmanville, Ontario; July 18-20, Burke Lakefront Airport, Cleveland, Ohio; Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, Ala; Aug. 29-31, New Jersey Motorsports Park, Millville, N.J.; Sept. 19-21, Miller Motosports Park (2), Tooele, Utah.
