SAN ANTONIO — Sports Car Club of America is teaming up with iRacing.com Motorsports Simulators to crown a single champion among its 5,000 licensed racers spanning 30 competition classes. The prizes include more than $20,000 in cash and merchandise. In addition to prize money, the winner will receive a coveted professional-grade racing simulator.
Eric Prill, SCCA’s vice president of marketing and communications explained that the program, will run much like the regular SCCA points system with additional opportunities for bonus points. Points will be awarded to the drivers that have already begun their seasons but drivers must first register to participate.
