All ASCS Regions Announce Schedules; Sprints On Dirt Celebrates Its 29th Birthday

TULSA, Okla. — The 29th season for the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints On Dirt presented by Victor Reinz will feature 23 point races at 14 tracks in Ohio, Michigan and Ontario.
The season opens May 3 at Crystal Motor Speedway, which is the only track that has hosted the series in all 29 of its seasons.
After nearly a 25-year absence, sprint cars will return to the Ionia Fairgrounds July 18.  
The final points weekend will feature Hartford Motor Speedway and I-96 Speedway.

Midwest

Set for its fourth year of competition, the American Sprint Car Series Midwest Region has released its schedule featuring 11 nights of racing at eight tracks throughout Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa.
For the third year in a row, the series opens the season with a two-night stand versus the ASCS Northern Plains Region at Nebraska Raceway Park’s I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., April 14-15.

April 11-12, I-80 Speedway, Greenwood, Neb.; May 23, Junction Motor Speedway, McCool Junction, Neb.; June 6-7, TBA; June 27, Junction Motor Speedway; July 4, Lakeside Speedway, Kansas City, Kan.; July 11, U.S. 36 Raceway, Cameron, Mo.; July 18, Crawford County Speedway, Denison, Iowa; July 19, Eagle Raceway, Eagle, Neb.; Aug. 3, Knoxville Raceway, Knoxville, Iowa; Sept. 5, Butler County Motorplex, Rising City, Neb.; Sept. 6, Minneapolis Raceway, Minneapolis, Kan.; Sept. 7, Eagle Raceway.

Coastal

The American Sprint Car Series Coastal Region kicked off its 14-night season Saturday at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala.
The series will visit nine tracks in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Florida.
The ASCS Coastal Region will wrap up its second season of action with the championship finale at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Miss., Oct. 11.

Northern Plains

The American Sprint Car Series Northern Plains Region is currently slated for 16 nights of competition at 10 different tracks throughout South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa.
The campaign opens with a two-night stand versus the ASCS Midwest Region at Nebraska Raceway’s Park I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., April 11-12.
The series later puts the wraps on the 2008 season with North Central Speedway’s Mighty Axe Nationals in Brainerd, Minn., Aug. 30-31.
