ASCS Regions Set ’08 Schedules

Canyon

TULSA, Okla.  — The American Sprint Car Series Canyon Region has released its schedule for the upcoming season.
It will be an action-packed season for the American Sprint Car Series’s only non-wing Region, with the series currently slated for 29 nights of racing action.
The schedule:

Gulf South

TULSA, Okla.  — Set for its eighth year of competition, the American Sprint Car Series Gulf South Region has released an ambitious schedule for the 2008 season.
The ASCS Gulf South Region is currently slated for 26 nights of competition at 10 different tracks, with 21 Texas nights and five nights in Louisiana.

Northwest

TULSA, Okla.  — The new American Sprint Car Series Northwest Region released a 15-race season with events at seven tracks in Washington and Oregon.
Action begins May 24-25 at Gray’s Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash., and will conclude Sept. 26-27 at Yakima (Wash.) Dirt Track.
The schedule:
May 24-25, Grays Harbor Raceway, Elma, Wash.; June 6, Willamette Speedway, Lebanon, Ore.; June 7, Cottage Grove Speedway, Cottage Grove, Ore.; July 14, Southern Oregon Speedway, Medford, Ore.; July 15, Cottage Grove Speedway; July 16, Willamette Speedway; July 17, Sunset Speedway, Banks, Ore.; July 18-19, Grays Harbor Raceway; Aug. 3, Knoxville Raceway, Knoxville, Iowa; Aug. 31, Grays Harbor Raceway; Sept. 19-20, Grays Harbor Raceway; Sept. 26-27, Yakima Dirt Track, Yakima, Wash.

Rocky Mountain

TULSA, Okla.  — With seven different champions crowned over each of the past eight years, the American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region has announced its 2008 schedule.
The ASCS Rocky Mountain Region 2008 season will consist of 17 nights of competition at a half dozen tracks throughout New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.

May 24-25, Thunder Mountain Speedway, Olathe, Colo.; May 30-31, Aztec Speedway, Aztec, N.M.; June 13-14, Sweetwater Speedway, Rock Springs, Wyo.; June 27-28, Hollywood Hills Speedway, San Felipe Pueblo, N.M.; July 12, Lincoln County Raceway, North Platte, Neb.; Aug. 3, Knoxville Raceway, Knoxville, Iowa; Aug. 15-16, Hollywood Hills Speedway; Aug. 22, Casper Speedway, Casper, Wyo.; Aug. 23, Sweetwater Speedway; Aug. 30-31, Thunder Mountain Speedway; Sept. 19-20, Aztec Speedway.

Sooner

TULSA, Okla.  — The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region schedule has been announced as the series prepares for its eighth year of competition.
The Sooner region will contest 18 events at 10 tracks located throughout Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas.
The schedule:
April 4, Heart O’ Texas Speedway, Waco, Texas; April 5, Cowtown Speedway, Kennedale, Texas; April 11, State Fair Speedway, Oklahoma City, Okla.; April, 12, Lawton Speedway, Lawton, Okla.; May 3, Mid-America Speedway, S.
