Kerrick Picks Up His Third ESS Triumph

VanDusen Is Champ

CANTLEY, Quebec — It looked as if the Friday night make-up event at Autodrome Edelweiss Speedway was all Tommy Wickham’s.  But his smoking engine finally gave way on lap 13, handing the lead to Bubby Kerrick, who went on to claim his third Empire Super Sprint triumph of the season.
While Kerrick earned the race victory, Jeff VanDusen’s third-place finish gave him the Lucas Oil Canadian Invasion Series title. Point-leader Steve Poirier was involved in an early-race accident, finished 16th and fell to third in the standings behind VanDusen and Lance Yonge.
Michael Parent followed Kerrick to the line with VanDusen third, Yonge in fourth and Brian McDonald completing the top five.
