Kaeding Takes Tulare

TULARE, Calif. — Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway and Tim Kaeding have always been a match made in heaven and it continued Saturday night with the former King of California earning his first Golden State Challenge Series victory of the season.
Kaeding is the eighth different winner in nine GSC races this season.
Point-leader Jonathan Allard led early, but Kaeding put Tom Rolfe’s No. 10 into the lead on the seventh lap of the third-mile oval.
Kaeding held off a late challenge from Tyler Walker, who made several daring passes en route to the front.
“Man, that was a fun one, and I hope you fans enjoyed that,” Kaeding said after the victory. “The track was great tonight and it was awesome to be able to race like that with those guys.”
Walker finished second, with Allard, Tommy Tarlton and Brent Kaeding rounding out the top five.
Brian Cass banked $1,500 for winning the Western States Modifieds feature.
