Kertscher, Tatnell Split IRA Weekend

WILMOT, Wis. — Mike Kertscher overtook early leader Scott Biertzer and never looked back en route to winning the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints sanctioned Kenosha County Fair headliner at Wilmot Speedway Friday night.
For Kertscher, who is racing a limited schedule aboard his Kistler-powered No. 80 Eagle, it was his first victory of the season.
While Kertscher ran much of the race with a fairly comfortable lead, the race throughout the top dozen was incredible and kept the huge Friday-night fair crowd on its feet. Scott Biertzer won the battle for second, holding off hard-charging Billy Balog in a dash to the checkered flag.
Mike Reinke was fourth, with Todd Daun fifth.

BEAVER DAM, Wis. — Brooke Tatnell captured the 30-lap Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints event at Charter Raceway Park Saturday night.
Tatnell steered his No. 11au into the lead on lap five, overtaking early leader Donny Goeden. Tatnell then held off a late challenge from Mike Kertscher to grab his third IRA triumph of the season.
At the checkered flag, it was Tatnell and Kertscher with Goeden taking third over the fast-closing tandem of Scotty Neitzel and Steve Meyer in fourth and fifth, respectively.
