Sunday
SEYMOUR, Wis. — A high-flying Mike Reinke captured an all-green affair Sunday as the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw 410 Sprints headlined an event at Seymour Speedway for the first time since 1989.
The fourth-starting Reinke grabbed the runner-up spot on lap two behind polesitter Scotty Neitzel, running nose-to-tail for several laps, and setting a blistering pace around the top of the sweeping, banked third-mile.
Reinke waited for the right moment and pulled off a perfect slider to take the lead and then set sail. Travis Whitney, Steve Meyer, Scott Young, and John Haeni put on a great battle for top five positions throughout, while the rim-riding tandem of Reinke and Neitzel pulled away.
Neitzel found traffic and was overtaken by Travis Whitney, who passed him for second. Neitzel settled for third ahead of Steve Meyer and Scott Young.
