Alexander Is Great At Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Stacey Alexander came from deep in the starting grid Thursday to win the inaugural 305 Mid-States Sprint Championsihps at Knoxville Raceway.
It was the first night of a two-day qualifying format for 305 sprint cars, which culminated with a championship Saturday.
Alexander took the lead from Rager Phillips on lap 10 and easily held on for the victory. Phillips settled for second ahead of Trish Dover in third, Marty Stephenson in fourth and Eric Todd in fifth.

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Clint Garner managed a late-race surge to win the second night of the 305 Mid-States Sprint Championships at Knoxville Raceway.
Garner is a regular competitor in the weekly Knoxville 410 and 360 sprint divisions.
Garner’s slide job on Jack Potter on lap 12 handed Garner the lead, which he stretched to 10 car-lengths by race’s end.
Potter finished second, Marty Stephenson was third, Bob Lamb took fourth and Matt Stephenson was fifth.

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Stacey Alexander came from his 10th-starting spot to win the 20-lap 305 Mid-States Sprint Championship, taking home $1,500 for his second victory at Knoxville Raceway.
Alexander, who has been a longtime regular in the 360 division, won his first race during Thursday night’s preliminary qualifying event and capped off the three-day event with another victory.
Alexander took the lead from pole-sitter Jack Potter with the help of lapped traffic on the 15th circuit and held on over the final four laps. Potter settled for second for the second night in a row, and Clint Garner was third.
