BENTON, Mo. — Danny Smith has won an event with virtually every series he has driven with. Add one more to the long list, as Smith won Friday night’s Midwest All Star Series opener at Benton Race Park.
Smith took control of the feature within the first few circuits after finding the spot that fit best for his popular Doug Williams Trucking Maxim No. 4 on the track. Smith was threatened periodically by reigning Benton Race Park champion Tommy Worley, Jr., but held on for the triumph.
Worley was second, ahead of A.J. Bruns, Jimmy Hurley and Wade Oliver.
