DONNELLSON, Iowa — Kaley Gharst’s 2007 Sprint Invaders season ended just as it started five months ago — with the 19-year-old driver in victory lane at Lee County Speedway.
Gharst earned his series-record seventh victory of the season, breaking Jerrod Hull’s single-season record of six wins set in 2005. Gharst took the lead on lap 19 and beat Bobby Mincer to the stripe. Rusty Potter was third followed by Russ Hall and Matt Weyant.
