ROSSBURG, Ohio — A new high-paying event for 360 winged sprint cars will debut this summer. Featuring NASCAR drivers Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne and Dave Blaney against the nation’s best 360 drivers, the Ollie’s 360 Challenge will consist of three events — one each at Sharon Speedway, Eldora Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway.
The series will carry an $80,000 purse, with $6,000 earmarked to the winner of each feature. In addition, a $50,000 bonus will be offered to any driver able to win two of the three features.
“Taking part in the Ollie’s 360 Challenge, with confirmed entries already from drivers like Kasey Kahne, Dave Blaney and Tony Stewart, is a thrill for the entire Ollie’s family,” said Mark Butler, president and CEO of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. “The Ollie’s 360 Challenge will give us another opportunity to offer good stuff, cheap — top-quality racing at a great value to fans across several states this summer. The challenge will kick off June 17 at Sharon’s three-eighths-mile oval, while the second event will be July 8 at the historic Eldora Speedway half-mile oval. Interestingly, Blaney owns Sharon and Stewart owns Eldora.
The finale will be held at Pennsylvania’s Williams Grove Speedway half-mile Aug. 19. The track hosted the Kasey Kahne Foundation in August 2007 and raised more than $75,000 for charity.
