WAYNESBORO, Va. — Bill Rice completed a sweep of the racing program as the Virginia Sprint Series finally opened its season Saturday night at Eastside Speedway.
After being rained out twice, 14 racers made the tow, with Rice winning the first heat for the 305 sprint cars and then dominating the feature.
Rice took the lead from Tony Harris with eight laps remaining and pulled away for the victory. Harris finished second ahead of Satch Worley, Jerald Harris and Anthony Linkenhoker.
