KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Dean Jacobs started from the pole and dominated the Factory Auto Parts World Challenge Friday night at Knoxville Raceway. With 16 drivers representing four countries, Jacobs picked up $10,000 for the triumph.
“It is a credit to my car. It is an honor to run this race,” said Jacobs, who won several races in Australia during the winter. “I got to go to Australia and race with their best racers and they are pretty darn good. We struggled in our heat race for the big race, so this gets us going.”
Ricky Logan ran second the full distance and earned $5,000. Daryn Pittman, Australian shoe Kerry Madsen and Donny Schatz rounded out the top five.
