Lang Orbits Watermelon For Southern ASA Score

CORDELE, Ga. — Under threatening Georgia nighttime skies, once Jimmy Lang took the lead on lap 17 of the Watermelon Bowl 100 at Watermelon Capital Speedway Saturday, he was on his own planet.
Lang went on to a convincing 3.607-second win over hometown favorite, Beau Slocumb and new rookie-of-the-year point-leader David Odell. It was Lang’s third ASA Late Model Southern Division feature victory in as many starts.
Colt James and Dustin Dunn rounded out the top five.
