Reuvers Tops Shakopee
ASA Midwest Tour Shakopee 100, Shakopee (Minn.) Raceway Park
SHAKOPEE, Minn. — Donny Reuvers showed why he is a four-time defending track champion at Shakopee Raceway Park, winning Sunday’s American Speed Ass’n Midwest Tour Shakopee 100.
A poor qualifying run was canceled out when the draw put Reuvers on the outside of the front row. Reuvers took the lead from the outset and led to the checkered flag waved.
Jonathan Eilen had one final shot at Reuvers on a restart with 11 laps to go, but Reuvers was able to pull away and Eilen settled for second.
Steve Carlson was third ahead of Rich Loch in fourth and Chris Wimmer in fifth.
