Jedrzejek Bests Oswego
MSA
OSWEGO, N.Y. — A couple of years ago, Timmy Jedrzejek was about to write off his racing career after a bad accident at Sandusky Speedway.
But the write-off never materialized and in May, Jedrzejek triumphed at Sandusky. Saturday night he earned another stellar victory, driving from 12th to win the Midwest Supermodified Ass’n Oswego Wing Series feature at historic Oswego Speedway.
"It’s funny, a couple years ago, I almost accepted I wasn’t going to race supermodifieds again,” said Jedrzejek. “Then I met Craig Reed and we started talking about running a couple races last year. A couple races turned into this — my family and this team are one big family. Our little son Kasey is at the track with us each week and he obviously enjoys it. He comes to the shop and works with us all night. I can’t say enough about everybody who have helped make this come together.”
Jedrzejek took the lead from Charlie Schultz on lap 27 and set the pace the remaining 13 laps of the half-mile asphalt oval. Schultz finished second, ahead of Jack Smith, Dave Shullick, Jr. and Bob Bond.
The finish:
Timmy Jedrzejek, Charlie Schultz, Jack Smith, Dave Shullick, Jr., Bob Bond, Tim Snyder, Randy Burch, Denny Fisher, Greg Furlong, Kelly Miller, Moe Lilje, Jason Spaulding, Keith Gilliam, Pat Lavery, Bobby Dawson, A.J.
