Jimmy Blewett Wins For ‘Bro’

John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout SK-Modifieds


CONCORD, N.C. — Sentimental favorite Jimmy Blewett stepped into the No. 12 that was to be driven by Joey Payne and won the 50-lap SK-modified event Saturday night at the John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout at Concord Motorsport Park.
“I can’t thank the guys enough. This is the car my brother ran all year at Thompson and he couldn’t get a win in it. This one’s for you, bro,” Blewett said afterward.
Ted Christopher recovered from an early spin to finish second and Tommy Farrell III was third. Jeff Malave and Rob Janovic rounded out the top five.
