LAS VEGAS — Taylor Barton completed a thrilling last-lap pass on race leader Tom Lovelady to win Saturday night’s season-ending 140-lap Fall Classic presented by Bank of America Super Late Model feature at The Bullring @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Lovelady led 139 of the race’s 140 laps, but a late caution set up a final restart and a one-lap dash to the finish. Barton passed Lovelady on the back straightaway and led the final half-lap to claim the $5,000 first prize.
Lovelady drove wide on the final turn, allowing Travis Swalwell and Justin Lofton underneath. Swalwell finished second, Lofton was third and Lovelady finished a disappointing fourth in front of fifth-place Linny White.
