LOVES PARK, Ill. — Lyle Lowak claimed his second Mid-American Series Spring Classic season opener at the Rockford Speedway on Sunday.
Lowak started from the pole but lost some ground early as Don Wood led the way. On lap 39 of the 50-lap event, Wood’s brakes went out sending his machine into the wall between turns one and two.
Nowak inherited the lead and held off Scott Null to take the checkered flag. James Swan, Kyle Shear and Daryl Gerke closed out the top five.
