Fultz Fights Off Fisher For First CRA Victory
CRA Super Series
WINCHESTER, Ind. — The CRA Super Series visited Winchester Speedway Labor Day Monday with Jeff Fultz earning his first series victory.
At the drop of the green flag, point-leader Chris Gabehart pulled out in front of the pack, leading for the subsequent 89 laps. The caution flag waved for a spin caused by contact between leader Gabehart and second place runner Tommy St. John who were both sent to the end of the field for the restart.
While running third when the caution came out, Fultz moved up to set the pace back to the green flag. Fultz struggled to keep off hard charging Terry Fisher, Jr., who was also on a quest for his first CRA Super Series win, but Fultz was able to maintain the lead all the way to the wave of the checkered flag. Fisher finished second, followed by Dennis Schoenfeld in third.
