Green-White-Checkers Gives Williams Nail-Biter
Pro All Stars Series South Late Models
JEFFERSON, Ga. — A double-file restart with just two laps remaining set up a dramatic finish in the Pro All Star Series South Firecracker 125 on July 3 at Peachstate Speedway.
Corey Williams took the lead on lap 122 and held off a determined effort from Preston Peltier on a final green-white-checkered restart for his second-straight PASS South victory. Williams also won at Orange County (N.C.) Speedway on June 9.
Peltier moved alongside Williams one final time on the penultimate lap, but was unable to complete the pass and settled for second. Ryan Crane was third followed by Kevin Perry and Jason Hogan to the line.
