PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — Kenny Tremont turned in a flawless performance from the outside pole and won the Unicel Fall Foliage Modified 100 by two car-lengths over Martin Roy in the season-finale at Airborne Speedway Sunday.
Tremont survived contact in lapped traffic midway through the event and drew away enough to protect his lead over Roy and third-place Mike Bruno on final two restarts. Leon Gonyo and Matt Woodruff completed the top five.
“I think my starting spot was a factor although the car went really well,” Tremont said.
Roy, the Napierville, Quebec, driver who challenged for the Ernies Tools Modified track championship all season, started third and never lost contact with the winner.
