Shu II, Part II: Shullick Dominance Continues

Midwest Supermodified Ass'n, Oswego (N.Y.) Speedway

OSWEGO, N.Y. — In 2007 Dave Shullick, Jr. was nearly unbeatable, winning all but two events during the Midwest Supermodified Ass’n season.
The driver of the Kasper Auto Group No. 49 continued that hot streak, winning the season opener as 27 cars signed in Sunday afternoon at Oswego Speedway.
Shullick inherited the lead when his teammate, Moe Lilje, blew a tire on lap 19. He set the pace the remainder of the 40-lap event on the historic half-mile asphalt oval.
“I really love coming here. It was a good run,” Shullick said. “We got a little loose toward the end. We were deciding before the race whether to tighten it up a little because we would be running here for the first time with the wing during the day. We decided not to tighten it up too much and it worked out.”
Fast-qualifier Tim Jedrzejek finished second,  ahead of Charlie Schultz, Denny Fisher and Bob Bond.
The finish:
Dave Shullick, Jr., Tim Jedrzejek, Charlie Schultz, Denny Fisher, Bob Bond, Jack Smith, Jason Spaulding, Bob Dawson, Shawn Muldoon, Otto Sitterly, Keith Gilliam, Pat Lavery, Steve Gioia III, Bob Magner, Kelly Miller, A.J. Russell, Moe Lilje, Randy Burch, Randy Ritskes, Greg Furlong, Joe Gosek, Matt Palmer, Rob Summers, Lou LeVea, Brandon Fisher.
