Hooters Series To Be On Versus TV

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Hooters Pro Cup Series will once again air its full schedule on a national network in 2008.
However, for the first time the ultra-competitive races will air on Versus, a national sports network available in 74 million homes that celebrates real competition in all its forms.
As part of the agreement, most races will air on Mondays between 3 and 7 p.m. E.T., eight days after the event.
“This is not only a good deal for this season, but it also gives us room for growth in the future,” said Gene Cox, USAR president. “Being able to put the series and drivers in front of a new national audience, while keeping our core fans, is exciting.”
“Our demographics match up well,” said Cox, “With our races airing in a good time slot in front of a captive audience, we see no reason that our viewership numbers shouldn’t increase again this season.”
