Friday
TOLEDO, Ohio — Bryan Clauson led all 30 laps of Friday night’s USAC National Midget Series race at Toledo Speedway.
Clauson, a development driver for Chip Ganassi Racing, wheeled the Advanced Racing/Fontana Beast to victory on the historic asphalt half-mile oval.
Dave Darland brought his Toyota home second, ahead of Kevin Swindell, Darren Hagen and Stephanie Mockler in a race interrupted by several cautions and one red flag.
There were no serious driver injuries, although Brandon Wagner was transported to a local hospital for a checkup after a heat-race crash.

Saturday
MANSFIELD, Ohio — Dave Darland led all 30 laps to win Saturday night’s USAC National Midget Car Series feature at Mansfield Motorsports Park.
Driving Steve Lewis’s familiar Nine Racing Toyota-powered Beast No. 9, Darland dominated the event on the half-mile asphalt oval and posted his first midget triumph of the season.
Bobby East came home second, with Bradley Galedrige, Chuck Gurney, Jr. and Bryan Clauson rounding out the top five.
Darren Hagen finished seventh and holds a 68-point lead over defending series champion Jerry Coons, Jr. in the title chase.
The 30-lap feature was completed without a yellow flag in eight minutes and two seconds.
