ORLANDO, Fla. — Jordan Pennington dominated Friday night’s Ford Focus midget car event during the third annual Mopar PRI Sprint & Midget Classic at Orlando Speedworld.
Posting his first victory of the season, the 16-year-old Indiana driver pulled away to a 1.8-second triumph on the half-mile paved oval, with Rick Fedrizzi finishing second.
“We finished second a lot this season, but this is the first time we won,” Pennington said.
Andre Villarreal finished third, with Ryan Osborne and Craig Haack rounding out the top five.
