SANTA MARIA, Calif. — Point-leader Nic Faas romped to victory in Saturday night's USAC Western Midget Series feature at Santa Maria Speedway.
Faas took the lead from Ryan Kaplan on the 23rd tour of the third-mile dirt track and led the remainder of the 30-lap event to claim the victory.
Kaplan finished second, ahead of C.J. Sarna, who led the first 10 circuits. Justin Grant and Robby Flock rounded out the top five.
