DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Action Express Racing continues to explore all options in its driver line-ups and has announced Brian Frisselle will join veteran driver David Donohue in the No. 5 Action Express Corvette DP at Lime Rock Park for the final round of the 2012 Rolex Sports Car Series season.

Brian is the son of sports car racer Brad Frisselle and is no stranger to the podium at Lime Rock Park. In 2010 he piloted his DP class entry to a third place finish alongside co-driver Michael Valiante.

“I am extremely excited to join Action Express Racing at Lime Rock. It will be my first time driving for the team and my first time driving the Corvette DP. This is a great opportunity for me and I am truly grateful for the chance to race with AXR,” Frisselle said. “I am also really looking forward to pairing with David Donohue, he is a driver that I have a tremendous amount of respect for. The race weekend can’t come soon enough.”

Action Express team principal Bob Johnson hopes the move can help maintain the No. 5 Corvette DP’s position in Rolex Series team points.

“We are putting major emphasis on this final event of the year,” he said. “We are confident that Brian’s experience at Lime Rock will contribute significantly to a finish on the podium and holding our 3rd place position in overall points.”
