Grand-Am Fines No. 8 Starworks Entry

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Grand-Am Road Racing has issued a fine and penalty to the No. 8 Starworks Motorsport team in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series as a result of a rule infraction found during post-race inspection following Sunday’s (Sept. 9) race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
The No. 8 team was found to be in violation of 8-1.1 of the Daytona Prototype regulations (overall width) of the 2012 Grand-Am Rule Book.
As a result, the team has been fined $3,000 and has been placed on probation until Dec. 31.
The team with drivers Alex Tagliani and Ryan Dalziel, finished third in the race.
