Two-time MotoGP champion Casey Stoner has confirmed he will make the move to four wheels, racing in the Australian-based Dunlop Series this year.
Stoner, who retired at the conclusion of the 2012 season, will wheel a car adorned with his familiar No. 27 in the seven-round series, which opens in Adelaide in late February.
“Since I was 12, I’ve always been interested in it,” Stoner said. “It was always my plan during my whole career to drive a V-8.”
Stoner will wheel a Holden Commodore VE fielded by Triple Eight Race Engineering.
