LEXINGTON, Ohio – Jake Eidson marked four straight wins in a row and three straight victories in the rain with a flag-to-flag run at Mid-Ohio in round seven of the 2013 F1600 Formula F Championship Series season.

The 18-year-old extends his points lead, starting from pole and fending off a challenge from Aaron Telitz, who finished second ahead of Adrian Starrantino.

Eidson’s championship lead extends on four wins, as he continues to lead Telitz and Starrantino in the standings.

“The start was pretty dramatic. I saw Tristan Vautier lock it up or something going into one and I’m glad he didn’t collect me,” said Eidson. “It was a pretty clean race, I had a lot of pressure from Aaron but the Spectrum car does great in the rain. Aaron and I got very close a few times but the Spectrum was working very well. The team did an awesome job, we’re going to take this win and keep moving forward.”

Telitz would mark another podium in the WISKO Racing Mygale/Honda, and gained a few valuable points over Championship rival Starrantino.

“I made a mistake early in the race in Turn 1 and that cost us some time,” said Telitz. “I had caught him again and made another big mistake. So I made two big mistakes and he was making some small mistakes.”

A dry race is expected on Sunday while Eidson, Telitz and Starrantino all have dry-race wins on the season.

Starrantino would run the entire race in third place, as the leaders built a gap and Starrantino separated from those behind him in the No. 98 entry for Bryan Herta Autosport. The Championship contender hopes to return to the form that saw him sweep the opening weekend at VIR with two wins.

Ayla Agren finished fourth in a second Bryan Herta Autosport entry, ahead of WISKO’s Paul Alspach, both in Mygale/Hondas.

The big story of the weekend, Tristan Vautier, was able to recover for an impressive sixth place finish in the Quantum Racing Services Van Diemen/Honda.
