Summit Racing Supports Mid-Ohio
STEAM CORNERS, Ohio — Summit Racing Equipment has announced a new partnership with Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and School.
Summit Racing is now the Official High Performance Source of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The expansive partnership gives Summit Racing naming rights to the paddock areas and garages, plus signage on the pit wall, gates, the front straight, and other areas.
“We are very excited about partnering with Mid-Ohio,” said Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Motorsports and Events manager. “The facility is one of the best road courses in the country, and it’s in our own backyard. This is a great opportunity for Summit Racing to show racers that we understand their sport and have products to help improve their racing programs.”
Known as one of the most competitive courses in the U.S., Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course features a permanent road-racing circuit with two primary configurations: a 2.4-mile, 15-turn circuit and a 2.25-mile, 13-turn circuit. The park-like, 330-acre complex is located in Lexington, Ohio, near Mansfield. The track is 60 miles north of Columbus and approximately two hours from Summit Racing’s headquarters in Tallmadge, Ohio.
“Summit Racing has strong ties to motorsports and to Ohio,” said Craig Rust, president of Mid-Ohio. “Fans at the NASCAR Nationwide Series Children’s Hospital 200 in mid-August got a sneak peek at some of the Summit Racing signage. We will be doing a lot more with Summit Racing as we move through the end of 2013 and push forward into next season.”
