Road Racer Di Guida Dead At 50

DORAL, Fla. — Emilio Di Guida, a frequent competitor in the American Le Mans Series and Rolex Sports Car Series, died Saturday. The Venezuelan sports car racer was 50 years old.

Having worked his way through various Venezuelan racing series, Di Guida earned two GTC class victories in the American Le Mans Series in 2012 and was part of 8Star Motorsports’ Corvette Daytona Prototype program last year, teaming with Sebastian Bourdais.

Di Guida died of an apparent heart attack while jogging.
