ASCS Sets Southwest Region Slate
TULSA, Okla. – Coming off a year of unrest in Arizona for Winged Sprint Car racing, the 2013 season for the ASCS Southwest Region looks to be a sign of renewed vigor in the southwest deserts with a slate of 21 races at seven facilities in Arizona, New Mexico, and west Texas scheduled for the 2013 season.
The 2013 season will begin with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour at the high speed Tucson Int’l Raceway in Feb. 22-23 and will continue with the National Tour stars at Yuma, Arizona’s Cocopah Speedway in March 1-2. The Southwest Region will visit Tucson a total of 7 times in 2013 and Yuma 4 nights.
Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz., sees the series 4 times throughout the 2013 schedule with visits to Thunder Raceway in Show Low, Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria among stops in the Grand Canyon State. Season ending events with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour will include stops at the El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, Texas as well as the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, N.M., before returning to Arizona.
