Barnes Times It Right At Yakima
YAKIMA, Wash. — Sometimes it’s all about being at the right place at the right time and when the checkered flag waved at Yakima Dirt Track with the ASCS Northwest Region, that is exactly where Jayme Barnes was.
Following Mitch Olson’s No. 98m for 29 of the night’s 30 scheduled laps, Barnes led the only lap that counted after Olson found an infield tractor tire exiting turn four coming to the checkered flag; collecting series point leader Henry VanDam in the process.
Olson would not return and was scored 12th. VanDam was able to return and managed a seventh-place run.
Barnes was chase across the line by Trey Starks with Steve Vague, Brock Lemley, and Jesse Whitney.
The finish:
Jayme Barnes, Trey Starks, Steve Vague, Brock Lemley, Jesse Whitney, Cameron Smith, Henry VanDam, Randy Pierce, Steven James,, Garren Linder, Shane Valliant, Mitch Olson, Reece Goetz, Cody Ridge, Joe Ramaker, Luke Didiuk, Eric Fisher, Roger Crockett, Chris Adams.
