Flooding At Eagle Raceway Stops ASCS
EAGLE, Neb. – Nearly a foot of rain has fallen at Eagle Raceway this week, causing the track’s drainage system to collapse and backfill the infield with an estimated 300,000 gallons of water.
Because of the failure of the drainage system, track officials have been forced to cancel Saturday’s Hinchman Racewear Eagle Nationals for the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series.
Without enough time, or available equipment to pull the water off of, and away from the racing surface, event promoter Tony Bruce, Jr. is currently looking for a new date for the Eagle Nationals. The new date could be announced in the coming weeks.
