Rain Forecast Impacts ASCS Gulf South

TULSA, Okla. РRain forecasts have made an impact on the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region schedule.

According to Regional Director, Keith Johnson, races at the Leesville 171 Speedway in Leesville, La. have been moved from Saturday, Aug. 30 to Saturday, Sept. 6 as weather reports continued to show an 80-90 percent chance of rain in the area this weekend.

Other changes include the removal of events at the Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas on Saturday, Sept. 13.

With the changes, two dates remain to determine the final standings for the Gulf South Region which Channin Tankersley leads by 109 markers over defending champion, Ray Allen Kulhanek.

If Tankersley is able to hold off Kulhanek, it will be his first ASCS Gulf South title.
