14 Races For Mel Kenyon Midgets
LEBANON, Ind. – Officials of the United States Speed Ass’n have announced that the 2014 Mel Kenyon Midget Series championship schedule will consist of 14 races.
The series will kick-off the 2014 racing season at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway on Sunday, April 27 as a part of the Glen Niebel Classic. The “Niebel” will also feature the USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW.
Joining Anderson on the schedule are U.S. 24 Speedway and Coles County Speedway. U.S. 24 and Coles County make up the dirt racing portion of the Mel Kenyon Midget Series Championship. The Mel Kenyon Midget Series races on both dirt and pavement tracks.
The Mel Kenyon Midget Series will race at Anderson Speedway on April 27, May 21, June 28, Aug. 9 and Oct. 4. The series will head to U.S. 24 Speedway in Logansport, Ind., on May 3, June 14, June 21, July 12, July 19, Aug. 2 and Sept. 9. All the U.S. 24 Speedway dates are scheduled on Saturday nights.
The Mel Kenyon Midget Series teams will travel to Mattoon, Ill., and Coles County Speedway on May 10 and Aug. 16.
