FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. — One of the most prolific winners in the history of Pennsylvania’s famed Posse, Lance Dewease is searching for a ride for the 2013 season.

Dewease was left without a drive after longtime car owner Donald E. Owens elected not to field his Catoctin Motorsports No. 30c for the coming season.

“After 13 years of full-time involvement in the sport of motor racing, I have made the very difficult decision to not field a sprint car team for the 2013 season due to other growing business and family commitments,” Owens said in a statement. “I would like to say a special thanks Lance Dewease and his family for a wonderful relationship over the last six years both on and off the race track.

“It is my hope to continue to support Lance in all of his future endeavors. I would like to give a special thank you to Steve Clabaugh for helping me move into the 410 arena of sprint car racing as well as all of our sponsors and friends who have helped support us over the many years of racing, Fletchfab Welding, Keizer Wheels, Morrison racing motors, Weinberg and MIller, Zemco equipment, DMI and especially the support of Wings Unlimited.”

The 48-year-old Dewease, who has won track championships at Port Royal, Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedways, joined Catoctin Motorsports in 2007.
