Rain Halts Ohio Sprint Speedweek Again

FREMONT, Ohio – A thunderstorm hit Fremont Speedway following qualifications Thursday for the 31st Ohio Sprint Speedweek UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions event, with a second hitting just as the track was ready for heat race action.

Those two storms forced officials to cancel the racing on DB3 Imaging Night at Fremont Speedway.

After four straight nights of Speedweek produced some great racing, Tuesday’s show at Sharon Speedway and now Thursday’s event at Fremont have been lost to rain. Speedweek is set to resume at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio, Friday and wrap up with a $10,000 to win affair at Fremont Saturday.

Race fans can use their ticket stubs from Thursday – with the upgrade in price – for Saturday’s event at Fremont or can use them during any of the next three shows at Fremont with a refund in the ticket price.
