Rain Pushes All Stars To Sunday
OCALA, Fla. — For the third straight day, rain has forced the cancellation of racing at Bubba Raceway Park. However, the University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions and the track have worked together to reschedule all of the events.
The show originally scheduled for Thursday will now be made up on Sunday, Feb. 9 with racing to get underway at 4 p.m. Friday’s rained-out event will now take place Monday, Feb. 10 while Saturday’s show will be made up on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Racing will begin Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Sunday’s event will pay $3,000 to win while both Monday and Tuesday will each pay $4,000 to win.
“We appreciate all the cooperation and hard work from the staff at Bubba Raceway Park. They are committed to getting the racing in here with all the fans and race teams that have come down to start the year,” said Kyle Keesy, UNOH All Star operations manager.
This means the UNOH All Stars will open 2014 with five straight days of racing as the series heads to Volusia Speedway Park on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 12 and 13. The Volusia events each pay $5,000 to win.
