Stewart Wins Another One At Black Rock
DUNDEE, N.Y. — Black Rock Speedway promoter Dean Hoag defied Mother Nature and every weather forecast during the day and successfully completed the URC/Patriot 360 Sprint Challenge with NASCAR star Tony Stewart taking the victory.
With a greater then 70 percent chance of rain all day, Hoag beat all odds to present a thrilling show for the fans. A strong field of 47 sprint cars took part in the co-sanctioned United Racing Company and Patriot Sprint Tour event.
Stewart drew the pole starting position in the 25-lap feature, but failed to lead every lap. Randy West took the lead from Stewart at the start of the event and held the lead for the first seven laps.
After two lead changes on lap eight, Stewart took the top spot and went on to victory, collecting $4,000 for the victory.
