SUN PRAIRIE, Wisc. – Christopher Bell made his time at Angell Park Speedway count on Saturday night.

Bell led every lap of the Honda USAC National Midget Series feature after winning his heat race. Bell posted just the sixth-fastest qualifying time, nearly one-fifth of a second slower than Tanner Thorson’s fast lap.

Thorson, like others, had nothing for Bell when the feature began.

Points leader Rico Abreu battled Thorson for second, and wound up taking the spot. Thorson finished third, followed by Chris Windom and Tracy Hines.

Abreu, by finishing second, stretched his points lead to 103 points over Hines.
