PEORIA, Ariz. — Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind., extended his lead in the USAC National Drivers Championship with his victory in Friday night’s opening Parker Store Hall of Fame Classic AMSOIL USAC National/CRA sprint car race at Canyon Raceway Park.

Clauson grabbed the lead in his Curb Records/R & B Truckers Spike/Chevy from USAC-CRA point-leader Mike Spencer on lap 25 and led the remaining six laps for his second USAC sprint car triumph of the season, but first since Feb. 18.

Chris Windom finished second ahead of Damion Gardner, Levi Jones and Spencer.

The win puts Clauson 25 points ahead of Kyle Larson in the new National Driver Championship standings.

Larson did not compete Friday. Jones and Spencer retained their respective point leads in the AMSOIL National and CRA series.

Keith Bloom, Jr. was Friday’s fastest qualifier.
