Gardner Steals Golobic’s Petaluma Thunder

PETALUMA, Calif. – Ronnie Gardner won Saturday’s Honda USAC Western Midget Series event at Petaluma Speedway.

Shane Golobic dominated the majority of the race, leading the first 22 laps of the 30-lap feature. On lap 23 Gardner took charge, taking the lead from Golobic and hanging on for the victory at the three-eighths-mile clay oval.

Alex Schutte was second, followed by David Prickett, Shannon McQueen and Jake Swanson.
